Geruwa Serenity Resort is situated in an abandoned area of agricultural land in the past due to excessive raid of agricultural crops by wildlife. It is very close (almost at the bank) to a branch of Geruwa river and wildlife corridor across it which connects Bardia National Park and Indian Wildlife Sanctuary called Katarnighat.
This patch of land like an island is named "Saijanaghat" (means the number of hundreds) after an event of together ploughing of the area of land by 100 persons at a time.

Geruwa Serenity Resort prioritize to serve you with food of locally grown cereal and fruits as much as possible. So, we use mountain grown cereal millet (Kodo), Himalaya water irrigated black rice, etc. Moreover, we serve the taste of authentic Tharu food as well which includes locally brewed sprits for you to taste.

We have well-trained and long-experienced guide who takes you for a nature walk to the protected area. Walking in nature to feel, observe and enjoy the wildlife habitat, rustle of leave, smell of presence of big CATs, sound of prey and predators, variety of vegetation without polluting is really a memory for life time.
Nature Walk also provides you to observe wildlife very close to you in their natural posture and activities.
Jeep Safari is also a game drive into the protected areas to observe wildlife covering more areas of land and types of habitat. While doing Jeep Safari, you cover at least four types of habitats like; grassland, riverine forest, Saal forest and mixed hardwood forest and living wildlife in it. During Jeep Safari, even you can have short Nature Walk which is allowed in Nepal only.
Bardia National Park and connected protected areas gives shelter to more than 513 species of birds including endangered, common and migratory. Due to presence of ample source of water in Karnali and Geruwa river there is remarkable number of water birds including migratory from Saiberia. You find different birds based on natural habitats like grassland, riverine forest, mixed hardwood forest, saal wood forest.
For your kind information, entire catchment area of Bardia National Park including buffer zone is almost catapult (slingshot) free area after decades long conservation effort for birds.
Karnali’s east branch of river which flows through and westside of Bardia National Park gives a different experience of floating and sighting of wildlife and different aquatic birds together. While doing river safari sighting of aquatic birds are more common and there is possibility of sighting of endangered animals like Bengal Tiger, rhino, crocodile and dolphin as well.
Apart from this, the main branch of Karnali which divides Bardia from Kailali also allows opportunity of river rafting docking to the point near Indo-Nepal border where we can explore gangatic dolphin.

I have been to that peaceful area of land and happy to hear Gurawa Serenity Resort is going to open aiming the peace lover tourist, hope and wish the Grand Opening of the resort in October 2025. I wish to be there.
I have done guided nature walk and saw Bangal Tiger in that area of the forest opposite to that piece of land and had felt the lacking of resort types of property in that appropriate place. I am happy and excited hearing that Gurawa Serenity Resort is going to open in the same place to provide the opportunity to lush the visitors in real nature with presence of water, forest and peaceful surroundings.
Wow ! excited to hear that Gem like piece of land is now going to be beautified by opening of Geruwa Serenity Resort Pvt.
